The Danish Defence
The Danish Defence is a key player in our ecosystem with a national drone center placed right in the middle of HCA Airport. This provides an excellent opportunity to engage with the Danish Defence regarding the development of new UAS solutions.
We have a strong collaboration with the Danish Defence, who has established a national drone center at HCA Airport.
The physical presence of the Danish Defence, our growing business park, and our close collaboration with University of Southern Denmark, makes UAS Denmark Test Center the obvious choice for testing and developing UAS dual-use technologies.
National drone center
In early 2025, the Danish Defence announced plans to establish a national drone center at HCA Airport. The center is expected to employ around 100 people in 2026.
The drone centre – part of an overall, billion-dollar scale-up of the Danish Defence – will be responsible for the training of Danish Defence units as well as drive development in the drone field through experience gathering and collaboration with industry and research institutions.
The total investment amounts to around 100 million euros over the next decade.
Arctic testing
Thanks to our test facilities in Kangerlussuaq on the west coast of Greenland, we can also offer a one-stop acces point to state-of-the art UAS testing facilities.
