University of Southern Denmark UAS Center
SDU UAS Center offers dedicated R & D facilities: Composite and electronics labs, optitrack and motion capture system etc. The labs and its experts are available for companies, universities and partners on a rental and consultancy basis.

SDU UAS Test Center is founded by University of Southern Denmark and conducts research in drone technologies and future drone applications – for instance within areas such as inspection, energy, healthcare, agriculture and emergency management.
The center employs an interdisciplinary team of researchers with specializations within e.g. design and construction, robotics, computer vision, software and embedded systems, aiming to create drone solutions to the benefit of society.
SDU UAS Test Center offers companies, researchers, partners, and engineering students the possibility to work in the center’s state-of-the-art laboratories and test areas to create coherent and safe drone systems.
The center is located at a 2.200 m2 hangar in HCA Airport.
Acces to 1.900 km2 of BVLOS airspace
The center’s location at HCA Airport gives you the unique possibility to walk directly from the laboratories to the test field on airside. Here you can fly at low-risk in UAS Denmark Test Center’s 1.900 km2 BVLOS airspace over land and sea.
