Today, International Drone Show reveals a strong line-up of influential international drone speakers at this year’s event on 29 May in Denmark. With more than 40 speakers across four conference tracks, including big names within drone delivery such as Wing and Manna, this is a unique opportunity to stay updated on the latest drone developments.
The International Drone Show is Northern Europe’s largest drone industry event and takes place on 29 May at HCA Airport in Odense in Denmark. The conference and expo showcase how drone technologies are evolving and adding value to a range of industries. Attracting hundreds of visitors from Denmark, Europe and beyond, the event is a unique meeting place to connect and meet new collaboration partners.
Now the full conference programme can be revealed and includes more than 40 influential speakers covering four panel debates and conference tracks with the following themes: defence, security and the Arctic; legislation and operational safety; industry use cases and new technologies, and drone basics.

Programme highlights include leading names from the Danish and international drone community who will address key opportunities and challenges relating to both development and adoption:
- Drones play a key role in military and security operations, offering enhanced reconnaissance, surveillance, counterterrorism, disaster response, and law enforcement. Key speakers on this theme include Kay Wackwitz, CEO and Founder of Drone Industry Insights, who will talk about trends in the drone market and industry use cases. This track also includes workshops with the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) on their drone use and procurement, and a panel debate on overcoming challenges when using drones in the Arctic.
- Drone legislation and operational safety is a pivotal theme addressing how to harness innovation while addressing public safety and privacy concerns. Key speakers in this theme include Lars Korsholm, Head of Division, the Danish Civil Aviation Authority, who will present a glimpse of the ongoing work in Denmark’s upcoming drone strategy. In addition, Mehmet Keyvan, CEO & Founder, Keyvan, will talk about their solution that can create a green operation zone with data for each country or state for drone operations by taking into account airways, procedures, special areas and limitations.
- Drones are increasingly adopted as a resource-effective tool that also minimises risk and can perform a range of tasks such as infrastructure inspection, disaster management, environmental monitoring or even healthcare logistics. Track highlights include Titta Andersson-Bohren, European Policy and Community Affairs Manager, Wing, who will speak about their public outreach guidelines based on experience with communities in Australia, US, Finland and Ireland. In addition, Bobby Healy, CEO & Founder of Manna, will speak about drone delivery operations in Europe. Last but not least, Laurent Rouchon, Sales Director, Drone Volt, will talk about high voltage line inspection and provide a world-exclusive glimpse of their new LINEDRONE.
Visitors to the event can also experience an exhibition and several complex demo flights. For example, Nordic Wing will showcase their latest Astero ISR 2.5 and their Raptor system; UMS Skeldar will showcase their V-200 platform supporting tactical operations for surveillance, emergency response, security and defence; and Drone Volt will also conduct a demo flight.
“This is a chance to network while seeing drones in action. Visitors to this year’s International Drone Show can look forward to complex drone demos spanning multiple applications. This is possible thanks to the great facilities we have here on location at HCA Airport,” says Michael Larsen, Head of UAS Denmark Test Center, which offers BVLOS flights, a C-UAS centre, R&D facilities, a business park and 1,900 square kilometre airspace over land and sea.
Last year, more than 400 people attended the International Drone Show. The conference programme included around 40 speakers and the expo included around 30 companies. This year’s media partners are Unmanned Systems Technology and eVTOL Insights.
