UAS Denmark test center is a cooperation between Hans Christian Andersen Airport, The University of Southern Denmark and The City of Odense. As a national test and development center, we support the UAS and C-UAS community with airspace, facilities and the advantages of being part of a small but growing world class cluster. UAS Denmark Test Center is additionally a part of the Danish Government’s Drone Strategy.

HCA Airport is the operational partner and point-of-contact in UAS Denmark Test Center.
Apart from operating the test center, the airport is a fully operational international airport with charter, GA traffic and a home base for aviation related companies on land- and airside.
UAS Denmark Test Center is an integral part of the airport’s strategy.
The University of Southern Denmark
The University of Southern Denmark constitutes the research element in the UAS Denmark partnership and has based their advanced UAS laboratories in the airport test center. The university is among many other disciplines recognized for its robotics research – and since 2015 for its dedicated UAS research center as well.
The City of Odense
With a history that goes more than 1,000 years back, Odense is one of the oldest cities in Denmark. A legacy deriving from the Vikings all the way into today’s transformation to a modern Danish city.
Odense is Denmark’s third largest city with just above 200,000 inhabitants. The population is steadily growing, and Odense is also well known for the tech development with a great robotic cluster.
Though not being a part of the founding partners, Odense Robotics is a close cooperation partner as the nominated national robot and drone cluster. Through our cooperation, we practice a true triple-helix partnership.
Odense Robotics brings together the entire ecosystem to boost innovation and growth in the industry nationwide. The cluster has regional hubs in Aalborg, Aarhus, Copenhagen, Odense and Sonderborg – with the cluster secretariat in Odense.
